download

Organisations merging: lots of change, lots of communication

You have probably experienced it yourself: a company you’ve been working with for years changes its name because of an acquisition. The people that work there are the same people, but you see a different brand, a different image and maybe even a different way of doing things.

But how smoothly does that happen? Can employees suddenly become part of a new organisation overnight? Can they suddenly start working according to the new principles? Have they been brought along in the story? The key to a successful and seamless transition lies not in the name or the image, but in the guidance. We believe that focused attention at the start makes a big difference in the final result. We identify two important things:

  • A moment of truth
  • A process of truth

The past 30 years we have been involved in multiple mergers and acquisitions. What do they have in common? What can we learn from them for the future? In this whitepaper we bundle and share our experiences. What should you pay attention to? What are crucial steps in the process? We share this through the two moments of truth mentioned above.
