In this sixth and final publication ‘Change Leadership: Making Change Happen’ , you’ll read more about how to get people to genuinely (want to) do something different?
We spoke to 60 leaders and they all agreed on one thing: if change doesn’t make it to practice, you just continue to talk about it, and nothing actually changes. You can have a compelling vision, a clear direction, even a shared image and an inspiring story. But the real challenge is to turn all of this into action. People need to start working in ways that are genuinely different from what they were used to. With the understanding that you cannot change others simply by informing them of what needs to be done differently, it is crucial to have a broader set of tools. This helps people to genuinely want to change for themselves as well.
In this publication we emphasize what leaders have shared regarding this process.
Leading change. Or, change leadership, if you prefer. Is just a matter of the correct approach, right? Of good analysis, decision making and going forward?
‘We have talked to over 60 leaders from a multitude of levels and industries, each bringing a different perspective. The perspective being the leader themselves facing their challenges head on. This applies to middle managers and team leaders too, who also first need to digest the change. After which they can translate it to their own team. We analysed this input and are publishing it one theme at a time. Later on we also bundle our publications in a book, written from the leaders’ own experiences.”
